Reason # 1: If you submit your documents to the incorrect Secretary of State’s Office, it will be rejected. To make things worse, you may not find out about the rejection for weeks after you’ve mailed your documents to them.
Reason # 2: If you submit documents requiring proper notarization and or certification, but the notarization and/or certification does NOT fulfill all the requirements by the Secretary of State or USDOS, your request for an apostille will be rejected. To make things worse, you may not find out about the rejection for weeks after you’ve mailed your documents to them.
Reason # 3: If you submit a vital statistic document (ie: Birth Certificate, Death Certificate etc) that is too old, your request for an apostille will be rejected and you’ll need to request a new certified copy to resubmit, or you may want to consider doing a certified/notarized translation of what you have to get the apostille for that.
Reason # 4: Timing is everything. In many situations, an experienced certified apostille agent may be able to get expedited processing that you may not be able to get on your own. Unfortunately, many people learn they need apostilles last minute and need to scramble to figure out what that means and how to do it. Many people don’t understand that some documents must be submitted to the Federal government (USDOS) and others must go to an individual Secretary of State’s office. Many people are unclear as to which documents require notarization, and which don’t.
Reason # 5: Most people not experienced or educated in the apostille circuit are unaware of the different options available to obtain apostilles. It’s crucial to know exactly what the requestor needs from you so you can give them exactly what’s NEEDED, no more and no less. Nobody wants to spend unnecessary money for unnecessary processing. We can provide the guidance to ensure that you get what you need, and it’s all done legally.
Reason # 6: A certified apostille agent, or CAA, assists individuals and businesses in obtaining apostilles for documents intended for use in countries that are part of the 1961 Hague Convention, ensuring their documents are recognized internationally.
